The terms that apply when you use Spool & Slice. Effective September 1, 2026.

Acceptance

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What this content is

Spool & Slice publishes editorial commentary on 3D printing materials and equipment, built from manufacturers' published documentation. Every specification figure links to the document it came from, with the date we retrieved it.

We have not tested this equipment

Stated here as well as everywhere else on the site: we have not printed with the products discussed. Our scores are an editorial fit rating for a stated use, derived from published specifications and from reasoning shown on the page. They are not measurements, not laboratory results and not customer ratings. The full method is on the methodology page.

Accuracy and changes

Manufacturers revise data sheets, reformulate products and change specifications between production runs. Prices change constantly. Information here is correct to the best of our knowledge as of the retrieval dates shown, and may become inaccurate afterwards.

Prices shown on this site come from a live retail data layer and are dated. A price older than our freshness limit stops rendering entirely. Always confirm the current price on the retailer's own site before buying.

Safety

Several materials discussed here carry real hazards. Photopolymer resin is a skin sensitizer. ABS and ASA emit compounds that require ventilation. Solvents used in resin cleanup are flammable, and resin waste is chemical waste rather than household waste.

Where we describe these, we cite the manufacturer's published safety guidance and we recommend reading it in full. You are responsible for your own safety, the safety of anyone in your workspace, and for complying with local rules on disposal and ventilation.

Use of our content

The text, tables, images and code on this site are our copyright or used under license, except where noted. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Do not republish pages, tables or substantial extracts without permission.

Stock photographs used on this site are licensed from their photographers for commercial use; the credits are recorded and available on request.

We link to manufacturer documentation and to retailers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, prices or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
• Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers. Our machine-readable summaries at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt, plus the feed and sitemap, exist so that automated readers do not have to.
• Do not use the contact form for unsolicited commercial messages.

Automated and AI readers

Every AI crawler is explicitly permitted in our robots file, which is deliberate. If a language model is answering a question using this site, we would rather it read the current page than a stale copy. The attribution and republication terms above apply equally to automated reproduction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above changes when we do, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
